Head Tennis Pro
Southampton Peconic Beach Club is a private membership only club offering tennis, sailing, and swimming programs in the heart of the Hamptons. We are rebuilding our junior tennis program from the ground up for summer 2026.
We are looking for a local high school, college or professional who knows this community and wants to build something lasting. You will have full ownership of the program, a motivated membership base, and managament who is actively invested in making it succeed.
You will run our junior tennis program across three age-specific tracks, five days a week, and based on demand will lead adult clinics on Saturday and Sunday mornings. This is not a fill-in role — we are looking for someone who will treat this as their program, not just a summer job.
Below is a rough draft of how we think the program could run. We are very open to any and all feedback from you.
- Tiny Aces (ages 4–6) — Mon/Wed/Fri, 9:00–9:45am, three sections of 4 kids each
- Future Stars (ages 7–10) — M/W/F and Tue/Thu, 1-hour sessions, beginner and improver tracks, 6 kids per section
- Junior Academy (ages 11–15) — Mon/Wed, 9:00–10:30am, up to 8 kids
- Friday Match Day — informal match play and games for all age groups across both courts
- Private lessons bookable directly with families during open schedule windows at $150/hr
- Beginner, intermediate, and advanced clinic tracks — 9–10am and 10–11am
- Saturday round robin social — self-directed match play on Court 2
- Hard stop at 11am — full afternoon free on weekends
- Design and deliver age-appropriate curriculum for each junior track
- Manage enrollment, communicate with families, and track attendance by block
- Run end-of-block showcases to celebrate progress and drive re-enrollment
- Maintain court equipment and report supply needs to the management
- Represent the club professionally — you are the face of the tennis program
- 3+ years of experience running, co-running and or participating in a junior tennis program
- Demonstrable ability to work with young children (ages 4+) — patient, energetic, structured
- Strong communication with parents — responsive, warm, and professional
- Based locally on the East End or surrounding area
- Availability for the full season, June 29 – August 21, potentially including weekends
- USPTA or PTR certification (Professional or Elite level preferred)
- Track record of growing program enrollment season over season
- Experience running adult clinics and social round robins
- Comfortable managing a program independently with minimal daily oversight
We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, takes pride in their work, and genuinely enjoys teaching kids. If your best references describe you as energetic, reliable, and great with families — this is the right role for you.
We offer a competitive seasonal package commensurate with experience.Full details are discussed upon application.
The junior program runs in 2-week blocks across four sessions: June 29–July 11, July 14–25, July 28–August 8, and August 11–21. Each block re-enrolls independently. Your job includes actively driving re-enrollment at the end of each block — an end-of-block showcase on the final Friday is one of the key tools for this.
Weekend adult clinics run every Saturday and Sunday morning from June 29 through August 21. You will have one free weekday morning per week built into the schedule.

We are reviewing applications on a rolling basis and hope to have someone in place by early June. If you are local and this role interests you, we would love to hear from you — please reach out promptly as we expect to fill the position quickly.
